Extract“Red Cap looked at the engine room impatiently. Let’s get going, he said to the pilot. We must get away from those clouds as soon as we can. We have already lost a lot of time. He looked at the sky again with troubled eyes. The clouds appeared nearer now and were almost black. Their darkness was now spreading across the sky like a thin grey film casting a gloom over the ocean. The wind remained strong, flapping against their cheeks and arms with an increasing iciness.”
