Paul Tucker began studying Tai Chi in 1982, and has been teaching general and specialist classes since 1987. He is a teaching member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain. Paul is also a qualified Shiatsu practitioner and masseur. He currently manages a Complementary Health Centre in Lewes and teaches Tai Chi throughout East Sussex. Mark Evans, who is the author of the chapter on yoga stretches, is the former President of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. He has a BPhil in Complementary Health Studies and a Licentiate in Aromatherapy, and he is also a fully trained masseur.

Michele MacDonnell, who wrote the chapter on the Alexander Technique, was the managing director of an independent publishing house, specialising in alternative medicine books. She then attained an Alexander Technique teacher's diploma and now has her own practice in France.

John Hudson has a master's degree from the University of Bristol. He specialised in the study of personality development and meditation. He regularly incorporates his meditative techniques into his client programme at his therapeutic practice in England.
